Things to Do: This is "America's Front Yard," a vast park in the heart of Washington D.C. It stretches from the U.S. Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and is home to iconic sites like the Washington Monument, the WWII Memorial, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. You can easily spend an entire day exploring the many free Smithsonian Museums, including the National Air and Space Museum and the National Museum of Natural History.

Cascade Falls Trail (Patapsco Valley State Park)

Description: A popular, scenic, and short hike within the Patapsco Valley State Park. The trail runs along a stream and features several small waterfalls, including the main cascade. Great for all skill levels and often features small pools for wading.
